Pitchfest gains an experienced ally

The Invested Investor, a social enterprise project, is powered by decades of experience of its founder, Peter Cowley, who is a Cambridge based serial entrepreneur and seasoned Angel Investor. Co-founded with Peter's son Alan, their mission is to generate a greater number of successful businesses, by improving journeys of start-ups, through educating angels and entrepreneurs to make fewer mistakes, work better together and produce more successful exits.

The Invested Investor provides in-depth and open content based on real war stories of success and failure from Peter and many other angels and entrepreneurs, interspersed with lessons on numerous themes such as pitching, hiring & firing, choosing entrepreneurs and investors, and handling both the dreamed-for positive exits and the all-too-common failures.

“The Invested Investor is a compelling concept and our partnership brings a unique opportunity for emerging companies to tap into the years of angel and entrepreneurial experience and knowledge,” said David Gill, Managing Director of St John’s Innovation Centre. “We look forward to welcoming these experienced mentors and investors to the Showcase day at the end of the month”.

Pitchfest 2018 Showcase Day is held on 28th June 2018 at St John’s Innovation Centre where fifteen ambitious and innovative founders will pitch their business ideas to investors.

Pitchfest is a highly-focused training and showcase programme aimed at ambitious companies with innovative products and services who have the potential to scale and are looking to raise between £100k – £1m. The programme is delivered by Enterprise Europe Network in partnership with The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN).
